Marvel Zombies #[nn]

Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips's Marvel Zombies gets the Italian Nona Arte treatment in this 2010 edition, featuring a cover by Arthur Suydam that remains genuinely unsettling in the best way. Suydam's painted cover puts a grotesque, decaying Captain America front and center — shield in hand, mouth agape — flanked by similarly undead versions of Iron Man, the Wasp, and what appears to be a zombified Green Goblin, all rendered with visceral, painterly detail. It's a striking visual that captures exactly the gleeful horror at the heart of Kirkman's alternate-universe premise.
