Marvel Zombies / Army of Darkness #2

The second chapter of this five-part Marvel/Dynamite crossover keeps the tension high as Arthur Suydam's painted cover delivers a genuinely unsettling tableau: a rotting, undead Captain America looms at center clutching his blood-spattered shield, flanked by a zombified red-haired figure on the left and a decayed Wolverine — claws extended and wreathed in an eerie glow — crouching in front, with what appears to be a zombified Hulk lurking in the background amid a crow-darkened sky. Writer John Layman and artist Fabiano Neves are steering this mashup of Marvel's infected heroes and the Army of Darkness universe through its paces, and if the cover is any indication, the undead Avengers roster is only growing more formidable and more grotesque.
