Spider-Man leaps into action against a wild-eyed, snarling Dr. Strange — glowing with what can only be dark, possessing energy — while a frightened Clea is caught between them amid bursts of flame and billowing black smoke, making for one of the more visually urgent covers of 1979. The tagline "A Sorcerer Possessed!" says it all: something has gone very wrong in the Sanctum Sanctorum's corner of the Marvel Universe, and the Wall-Crawler may be the only one who can set it right. Cover art by Rich Buckler and Bob McLeod brings real dynamism to this three-way collision of Marvel's street-level hero and its mystical heavy-hitters.
