Marvel Team-Up #7
The cover by Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia says it all: both Spider-Man and Thor are knocked flat as the armored villain Kryllk looms over them backed by a horde of green-clad warriors, with speech bubbles boasting that neither a Thunder God nor a Human Spider can stop him — and that Earth and Asgard alike are his to claim. It's a wonderfully dramatic pairing, pitting Marvel's street-level web-slinger alongside the God of Thunder against a threat bold enough to declare "Two Worlds to Conquer!" Writer Gerry Conway and artist Ross Andru handle the interior story, making this 1973 issue a fine snapshot of Marvel Team-Up at its most ambitious.
