Marvel's prestige Super Special format gets a fittingly grand treatment for Jim Henson's epic 1983 fantasy film, The Dark Crystal. Bret Blevins's cover artwork pulls you straight into the film's otherworldly landscape, with the two young Gelfling heroes — the pale, long-haired Kira and the darker-haired Jen — crouching in the foreground alongside Kira's small furry companion Fizzgig, while looming behind them are the menacing skeletal Skeksis and hulking, shadowy creatures, all set against a jagged dark castle beneath twin glowing moons.
