Marvel Stars #17
In this 2012 issue of Marvel Stars, Bruce Banner’s descent into obsession takes a dark turn as he forges new monsters in his absence from the Hulk. Amanda Von Doom assembles a dangerous team—including the Hulk himself—to hunt down the mad scientists behind these creations, leading to a clash with monstrous boars and giant, mutated sharks. With art by Marc Silvestri, Michael Broussard, Billy Tan, and others, and cover by Silvestri and Joe Weems V., the issue blends psychological tension with escalating chaos.
In "null," Bruce Banner, estranged from the Hulk, spirals into obsession, crafting monstrous creations in isolation. When Amanda Von Doom enlists the Hulk to eliminate rogue scientists, he finds himself battling colossal mutated sharks—while two of Banner’s own boar-like abominations close in on the Moloids’ cave.
In "null," the Hulk finds himself cornered when the Boar Brothers take Moloid children hostage, forcing him into a brutal confrontation. After the fight, he makes a shocking decision to join Amanda Von Doom’s team of mad scientists—though his past is far from clean, and the monsters within him may not be the only thing he’s trying to control.
