“Walk the Darkling Road!”

Marvel Spotlight #24 (1975) brings one of the more dramatically charged covers of its era, with the Son of Satan — trident blazing with hellfire — squaring off against a dark-haired, cape-swirling female figure amid explosive supernatural energy, beneath the blunt promise: "Brother vs. Sister in a Battle to the Death!" The cover copy names Satana as his adversary, and the tagline "Doom is the Devil's Daughter!" sharpens the family stakes considerably. Cover art by Gil Kane, John Romita, and Tom Palmer, with the interior story "Walk the Darkling Road!" crafted by Chris Claremont and Sal Buscema — a strong creative lineup for a satisfyingly dark corner of the 1975 Marvel universe.
