Marvel Masterworks: The X-Men #6
In "Wanted: Dead or Alive—Cyclops!", the X-Men face off against the menacing Sauron, only to lose the trail and miss the link between the beast and Dr. Karl Lykos. As the team visits Lykos, they find Alex recovered and witness a fragile reunion between Karl and his beloved Tanya—until her father’s arrival shatters the moment. When Lykos later drains Lorna’s energy and reverts to Sauron, he flees to their old mountain cabin, confronting Tanya before vanishing into the wilderness. Written by Roy Thomas and brought to life with dynamic art by Neal Adams—pencils and inks on the cover—this pivotal issue deepens the mystery of Lykos’s transformation and the emotional stakes of his fractured past.
