About this Collection

This volume collects the classic X-Men stories from issues #51-66, featuring the debut of the new team led by Havok and Polaris, the return of the original X-Men, and the introduction of the villainous Sauron. It also includes the iconic 'The Mutants and the Monster' storyline where the X-Men face the Hulk. These issues mark a transitional period for the series as it moved toward the legendary run by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum.
