Los 4 Fantásticos atacan a Galactus, pero los ignora. El Vigilante les habla de una máquina que puede salvar a la raza humana y les dice que sólo la Antorcha Humana puede encontrarla. La Cosa destruye el convertidor impidiendo que Galactus absorba la energía del planeta y llama a su robot, el Castigador.
