Martian Manhunter #26

Part two of "Renegades of Mars" finds J'onn J'onzz battered and face-down in desert sand, glaring red-eyed over his shoulder as two dark, looming figures close in against the backdrop of a massive pyramid under a scorched orange sky. The cover composition — by Tom Mandrake — does a great job of conveying both the weight of J'onn's exhaustion and the threat bearing down on him. John Ostrander and Mandrake's 2001 series continues to prove that the Last Son of Mars deserves every inch of solo spotlight he gets.
