Spinning out of the pages of JLA, this July 2000 issue finds J'onn J'onzz — the Martian Manhunter — looming large and intense over a glowing, dome-shaped vessel that cradles a wide-eyed infant inside. The cover by Tom Mandrake frames the moment with quiet unease, the green-skinned hero's expression hovering somewhere between protectiveness and grim resolve as he regards the mysterious child. With John Ostrander and Mandrake together on "Revelations One: Strange Visitors," this is a compelling entry in one of DC's more thoughtful solo series of the era.
