Mad #183
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeNorman Mingo's cover for Mad #183 (June 1976) captures a perfectly timed disaster: Alfred E. Neuman, all gap-toothed grin and zero remorse, is clearly fleeing a pizza shop — sending a fully loaded pie skidding across the floor — while a wide-eyed chef peers out from behind a "Pizza Delivery Boy Wanted / We Deliver" sign in a state of pure horror. It's the kind of cheerful catastrophe that only Alfred could pull off with such breezy confidence, and Mingo renders every cheese-and-topping detail with gleeful precision. A fun snapshot of Mad at its mid-'70s best, with Sergio Aragonés also contributing inside.
