Mike Carey, Peter Gross, and Ryan Kelly continue "The Breach" in this mid-arc chapter of Vertigo's mature-readers series. Mike Kaluta's cover art presents an unsettling tableau: a young girl clutches a snarling, half-human wolf creature amid a landscape strewn with skulls and coiling serpents, while ghostly faces loom in a pale circle behind them — blood dripping down into a small fire below. It's a richly atmospheric image that captures the eerie, mythic dread that made this 2005 Vertigo title such a compelling corner of the DC universe.
