Two monstrous figures burst through a shattered stained-glass archway on Christopher Moeller's cover for this 2003 Vertigo installment — a hulking, bald creature clutching a glowing ankh overhead while a wild-eyed, snarling demon lunges forward amid a cascade of broken colored glass. The visual tension between that sacred symbol and these thoroughly unsettling beings sets a compelling tone for "Brothers in Arms, Part Two of Three," written by Mike Carey with art by Peter Gross and Ryan Kelly.
