Stella’s mother scares off Stella's dates by prematurely talking about marriage. While on a cruise, Mrs. Moore insists Stella accept fellow passenger Tony’s marriage proposal, although Stella actively dislikes him. Stella changes her mind during the wedding ceremony and Mrs. Moore collapses. Her mother will be hospitalised to treat her obsession, so now Stella is now free “to live my own life” and wait for true love.
