Celia supports her invalid father, younger sister and younger brother. She falls in love with Joe, but can’t think of marriage because of her responsibilities. Joe is transferred to the West Coast and gives Celia a week to make up her mind: choose him or the “parasites.” Celia fortunately discovers her father isn’t an invalid, her brother quit trade school, and her sister is selfish. She goes with Joe to begin a new life.
