Lord of the Jungle #8
Dynamite's Lord of the Jungle #8 brings Arvid Nelson's "Concrete Jungle" arc to its conclusion, and Lucio Parrillo's cover sets the mood beautifully — a lean, long-haired jungle lord balances barefoot among tangled vines and roots, a quiver of arrows at his hip and dark birds circling through an eerie green canopy behind him. There's a quiet intensity to the image, the figure poised and alert rather than mid-battle, suggesting someone fully at home in a world most would find terrifying. Sergio Fernández Dávila handles the interior art, with colors by Alex Guimarães rounding out this 2012 mature-readers adventure from Dynamite.
