Lord of the Jungle #6
Dynamite's Lord of the Jungle #6 arrives in 2012 with a cover by Lucio Parrillo that puts the feral intensity of the jungle lord front and center — muscles coiled, long dark hair trailing behind him, he lunges through a dense tangle of vines and misty canopy with a battle cry that practically leaps off the page. The rich, painterly greens and deep shadows give the scene a genuinely immersive, almost cinematic weight. With Arvid Nelson adapting Edgar Rice Burroughs and Roberto Castro handling interior art, "The Height of Civilization" promises to keep this mature-rated series in compelling, capable hands.
