Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics #77

This March 1948 Dell issue puts Bugs Bunny front and center in a wonderfully silly predicament — slouched in a green chair with a large red hot-water bottle balanced atop his soaking-wet head, water droplets flying everywhere as the hapless rabbit grimaces in discomfort. Cover artists Dan Gormley's linework gives the gag a rubbery, expressive energy that captures everything warm and funny about the Looney Tunes spirit. A cheerful ten-cent package of cartoon comedy from a era when Dell and Warner Bros. were delivering some genuinely delightful all-ages entertainment.
