Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics #76

Bugs Bunny takes a tumble as a hockey goalie on Dan Gormley's cheerful cover for this February 1948 Dell issue — tangled in the net, skates akimbo, and still somehow managing to look unimpressed by the whole situation. It's a wonderfully expressive snapshot of the wisecracking rabbit's unflappable cool, rendered in the bright, clean colors that made these Dell Looney Tunes books such a delight. A fun winter-themed entry in one of the most charming all-ages comics series of the late 1940s.
