Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics #66

Bugs Bunny takes "a balanced diet" very seriously on Dan Gormley's charming cover for this April 1947 Dell issue — the grinning rabbit holds open a book by that very title while happily chomping a giant carrot, with a whole plate of them waiting nearby. It's a perfectly silly slice of Looney Tunes humor that captures Bugs at his most cheerfully self-satisfied. A delightful snapshot of postwar funny-animal comics at their warmest and most playful.
