Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics #31

A cheerful piece of wartime mischief from Dell's 1944 May issue — Bugs Bunny has clearly gotten hold of a rifle and is up to something mischievous, much to the alarm of a wide-eyed Porky Pig standing nearby, while a small rooster looks on from the corner. A "No Hunting for Game Rabbits Etc. — By Order of Porky Pig, Game Warden" sign nailed to a tree tells you everything you need to know about the delightful contradiction at hand. The familiar faces of additional Looney Tunes characters peek in along the left border, making this a genuinely fun snapshot of the whole Warner Bros. cartoon gang in their Dell Comics heyday, signed under the Leon Schlesinger banner.
