Part 3 of "The Heiress" finds the Main Man attempting something truly absurd: a romantic dinner date. The cover by Val Semeiks and John Dell shows Lobo — dressed in a plaid jacket and bow tie, cigar clamped in his grinning teeth, a massive gun and ammo belt slung over his shoulder — presenting a bouquet of flowers to a red-haired woman seated at a candlelit table, while a wide-eyed maitre d' looks on in barely contained horror. Alan Grant and Shawn McManus deliver exactly the kind of gloriously chaotic comedy the series does so well, and this August 1996 issue makes it clear that even Lobo's idea of charm comes fully armed.
