Lobo #10
Lobo #10 (November 1994) throws DC's most gleefully unhinged bounty hunter into a full-throttle space chase, and the cover by Val Semeiks and John Dell captures the mayhem beautifully — Lobo rides the hood of a massive blue hot-rod through a debris-strewn cosmos, blasting away with a handgun while rockets, enemy spacecraft, and fireballs explode all around him. A red pursuit vehicle closes in from below as a robot of some kind looms in the background, making the whole scene feel like a cosmic demolition derby with no referees. Alan Grant's "Preacher Wars! Part the First" promises the kind of sprawling, anarchic storytelling that made this series such a wild ride in the mid-'90s.
