A young boy accidentally discovers a picture of a strange-looking man from Mount Vernon and attempts to have it published in the newspaper to identify him. The boy's mother suggests putting the photo in the paper, and he eagerly brings it to the Daily Bulletin newspaper office to report his findings. The story appears to focus on the boy's efforts to solve the mystery of the unknown man's identity by enlisting the help of newspaper staff and a news broadcaster named Ollie Olsen.
