In "Hostile World," the Legion of Super-Heroes faces a chilling threat on the planet Panoptes, where the Daxamite Res-Vir has captured most of Chameleon Boy's team. With Phantom Girl the lone free member, she must signal the rest of the Legion while evading Res-Vir’s growing army, which he claims is meant to "free" his people. Mon-El arrives to defend her, only to realize the true scale of the danger as he confronts Res-Vir’s forces. Written by Paul Levitz and illustrated by Francis Portela, with colors by Javier Mena and letters by Pat Brosseau, this 2011 issue features a cover by Chris Sprouse and Karl Story.

The Daxamite on Panoptes, Res-Vir, captures most of Chameleon Boy's team, but Phantom Girl hides and signals the rest of the Legion. As Res-Vir prepares his army to "free" the Daxamite people, Phantom Girl sneaks back to check on Ultra Boy and draws Res-Vir's attention. Mon-El arrives to protect her and releases the rest of the team, but finds he is significantly out-powered by Res-Vir's army.
