Legion of Super-Heroes #106

Part two of the "Dark Circle Rising!" arc lands with a cover by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer that puts the threat front and center: a menacing, yellow-skinned villain with red horns and a sinister grin dominates the image, weapon raised, while two stunned civilians are caught helplessly in his grasp. The bold tagline "Assassination!" leaves little doubt that the stakes in this 1998 storyline are deadly serious. Writers Tom Peyer and Tom McCraw, with artist Jason Armstrong, deliver what looks to be one of the Legion's more chilling confrontations of the era.
