Legends of Tomorrow #1
"United We Fall, Part 1" kicks off DC’s Legends of Tomorrow with a bold origin twist: Rex Mason, working under Simon Stagg, is transformed into Metamorpho after exposure to the Orb of Ra. As Stagg treats him as a subject and his daughter Sapphire begins to see the man beneath the metamorphic form, a hidden alliance between Stagg and the villain Kanjar Ro adds a layer of tension to the already volatile situation. Written and illustrated by Aaron Lopresti, with inks by Matt Banning and colors by Chris Sotomayor, the issue’s cover by Lopresti and Banning captures the moment of transformation with striking detail.
In "United We Fall, Part 1," Professor Stein pushes Ronnie and Jason to test the full extent of their Firestorm powers, but Jason begins to feel dangerously unwell. As tensions rise, Multiplex strikes again, abducting a scientist and setting the team on a urgent, high-stakes chase.
In "Two Worlds, One Destiny Part 1: Bound But Not Broken," Rex Mason's life fractures when exposure to the Orb of Ra transforms him into Metamorpho under the watch of Simon Stagg. Though treated as a specimen by Stagg and Java, Rex finds unexpected empathy in Stagg’s daughter, Sapphire, who sees the man beneath the metamorphosis. Meanwhile, Stagg’s secret alliance with Kanjar Ro casts a shadow over the lab, hinting at a larger scheme brewing beneath the surface.
