"United We Fall, Part 1" kicks off DC’s *Legends of Tomorrow* with a bold origin twist: Rex Mason, working under Simon Stagg, is transformed into Metamorpho after exposure to the Orb of Ra. As Stagg treats him as a subject and his daughter Sapphire begins to see the man beneath the metamorphic form, a hidden alliance between Stagg and the villain Kanjar Ro adds a layer of tension to the already volatile situation. Written and illustrated by Aaron Lopresti, with inks by Matt Banning and colors by Chris Sotomayor, the issue’s cover by Lopresti and Banning captures the moment of transformation with striking detail.
