In "The Wild White Yonder," Ruth, Timmy, and Lassie find themselves stranded in the snowy mountains after a plane crash during their trip home from Florida. With Paul injured and no help in sight, Timmy and Lassie must brave the wilderness—and a pack of hungry wolves—to survive.
In "Blaze Shifts for Himself," the loyal dog Blaze finds himself alone after his owner, Ted Bailey, is injured in a car accident and taken to safety. Left to fend for himself, Blaze ventures into the wilderness and forms an unexpected bond with a family of wild burros, stepping in to protect them when a cougar threatens their herd.
When a sudden flood sweeps Timmy and his scouting pals from their campsite after an aqueduct breaks, they cling to a tree as the waters rise. Lassie, ever loyal, plunges into the raging current to find help, her courage guiding the way. As the flood recedes, Paul arrives to rescue the stranded boys.
