This 1950 Fawcett publication brings the "Black Flash of the West" to life with a striking photo cover featuring Lash LaRue in his trademark all-black outfit, standing confidently alongside his black horse and a loyal German Shepherd against a sun-baked Western landscape. The cover promises "Shadow of the Noose!" among 52 full-color pages of adventure, and interior story "Murder in the Lumber Camp!" — drawn and inked by Stan Campbell — suggests plenty of frontier mystery and action ahead. At just ten cents, this was a genuine bargain for fans who couldn't get enough of one of the era's most distinctive cowboy heroes.
