Charlton's October 1960 entry in this long-running Western series puts the black-clad Lash LaRue front and center, crouching low with gun drawn as a spotted horse rears dramatically behind him — tension practically leaps off the page. The cover also teases the story "Ambusheade" with a cluster of suspicious faces and a shadowy hotel scene, hinting at the web of hidden enemies the cover text warns could be lurking in any handshake. Pete Morisi's crisp linework ties it all together, and a bonus "Giant Jingle Contest" sponsored by Turkish Taffy makes this a genuine snapshot of early-'60s comics culture.
