"Outwardbound" kicks off Kirby: Genesis #1 with a cosmic mystery as Jerek departs Earth, leaving Spring behind in the stars. The Air Force scrambles at the sight of floating figures in the sky, while Kirby, Jake, and a surprise encounter with a sasquatch lead to a capture by aliens—just as Bobbi, possessed by the Midnight Swan, arrives in the mythlands to disrupt a fateful clash between Sigurd and Ulysses. Meanwhile, space criminals find an unexpected ally in Roag, the Lightning Lady, and Darius Drumm, watched closely by Jake Cortez and Silver Star. Written by Kurt Busiek, Alex Ross, and Khaled Tadil, with art by Jackson Herbert and Alex Ross, and colors by Vinicius Andrade and Alex Ross, this 2012 issue from Panini France features a cover by Alex Ross.
