This German-language edition collects the first chapter of the landmark 1996 DC Elseworlds miniseries 'Kingdom Come,' written by Mark Waid with painted art by Alex Ross. Set in a possible future, it follows elderly minister Norman McCay as he is visited by the Spectre and shown a world where a new generation of violent vigilantes has driven the classic heroes—including Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Hal Jordan's Green Lantern—out of retirement, setting the stage for a cataclysmic conflict. This volume presents the opening installment of the story, translated into German by Carlsen Comics.
