Justice League International #10
Part of DC's 1988 Millennium crossover event (Week 5), this issue brings together a striking assembly of the JLI roster hurtling through a burst of rainbow-colored cosmic energy against a star-filled void. Superman leads the charge front and center, with Hawkman's broad wings spread wide to his left, Green Lantern soaring in the background, and Doctor Fate's golden helm gleaming prominently in the foreground — plus several other League members visible in the distance. Kevin Maguire and Al Gordon deliver a cover that radiates both scale and momentum, perfectly capturing the sense that the whole team is being pulled toward something enormous. With the story by Giffen and DeMatteis and interior art by Maguire and Gordon, "Soul of the Machine" is a fine snapshot of this era's confident, character-packed take on DC's premier super-team.
