Justice League Europe #22
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFew comic book covers from January 1991 had the nerve to look you dead in the eye and announce "Buy This Comic… Or We Won't Shoot This Cat!" — and Justice League Europe #22 pulls it off with complete conviction. Marshall Rogers and Terry Austin fill the cover with a snarling, wide-eyed orange tabby scruffed in one fist while a revolver is leveled at it from the other hand, a genuinely absurd hostage situation rendered with total straight-faced craft. With Giffen and Jones at the helm and the story aptly titled "Catnap," this issue promises exactly the kind of sharp comedic energy that made this era of Justice League so hard to put down.
