Justice League Dark #10
The tagline says it all — "Dare They Enter… The House of Mystery?" — as this 2012 New 52 installment frames the team on the threshold of something deeply unsettling. Mikel Janín's cover places a ghoulish, hollow-eyed figure lurking in the shadowed doorway while the assembled team — including a knife-wielding member, John Constantine's blonde-haired figure, a purple-costumed fighter, and a pale, red-suited supernatural being — converge in tense standoff around it. Jeff Lemire's run on Justice League Dark consistently found the sweet spot between superhero team dynamics and genuine supernatural dread, and issue #10 looks to deliver more of both.
