Dr. Douglas prepares to take his scientific expedition back home, but first fires Shane, Hall, and Martin, his guides who had been abusing the porters. They conspire with Gorundi to get Buhutu warriors to attack the departing group. She stops them and they discover the guides had hidden stolen treasure in the scientific model Douglas was taking home. The guides and Gorundi die when the Buhutu warriors mistake them for the enemy.
