The main story, "The Doom of the Elephant," involves Sheena intervening in a conflict between a man named Duncan and Hatou's tribe; Duncan is accused of killing Hatou's father, but he reveals he is innocent and that the fireworks responsible for the death were brought by Hatou's own father years earlier. A secondary story, "King of the Congo," depicts schemers attempting to trick natives into revealing the location of tribal treasures by using a fake snake goddess idol, prompting them to signal a waiting ship; Sheena discovers their plot and pursues the raiders with jungle animals, ultimately routing the criminals and forcing them to flee.
