Jumbo Comics #51

From Fiction House's action-packed anthology comes Jumbo Comics #51 (May 1943), and the cover by Dan Zolnerowich makes an immediate impression: Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, knife in hand, wrestles a massive crocodile in a churning swamp, her leopard-print outfit and golden hair vivid against the turbulent water. The cover text promises she'll pit "a lone-hand knife against the claws of the veldt and the jaws of the swamps and killer men from the vulture sky" in the story "Monsters with Wings." Rounding out the issue are ZX-5, America's Master Spy, and The Ghost Gallery featuring Drew Murdock — three strips that made Jumbo Comics one of 1943's most varied ten-cent reads.
