Jughead #157
In "Survival of the Fittest," Jughead’s lunchless day takes a desperate turn when he’s forced to navigate the harsh realities of school cafeteria politics—no money, no meal, and even a failed apple heist from Moose. Just when hunger seems inevitable, Ethel shows unexpected kindness by buying him a lunch, offering a rare moment of relief in a day defined by empty pockets and empty stomachs.
In "Fool-Proof," Jughead hatches a wildly impractical plan to get Archie to the dance by auctioning him off, claiming Veronica will outbid everyone—only to find her so appalled she funds Big Ethel to win the bid instead.
When Jughead’s flute playing drives everyone to distraction—especially the girls, who pretend they can’t get enough—his friends finally convince him to pass it on to Reggie. But when Reggie takes a turn, the music proves even more unbearable than expected.
