Part four of "Princes of Darkness" arrives with a cover by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Merino that pulses with dramatic energy — a golden-chested hero raises a tattered JSA banner skyward against a fiery orange backdrop, while the hooded, armored figure of Doctor Fate looms at his back, and fallen or struggling teammates are strewn across the rubble at their feet. It's a triumphant-yet-battered tableau that captures the JSA fighting through what looks like overwhelming odds. Writers David Goyer and Geoff Johns, with art by Leonard Kirk and Keith Champagne inside, keep this 2003 series firing on all cylinders.
