JSA #43
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe "JSA B.C." banner sets the stage for something ancient and dangerous in this February 2003 issue, whose cover by Rags Morales drops readers right into a scene of raw power: a long-haired, bearded warrior in ornate robes raises a gleaming scepter triumphantly while two JSA members lie defeated at his feet and a hulking gray-skinned figure looms ominously behind him. It's a striking composition that frames the Society as clearly outmatched, lending "Yesterday's War" an immediately epic, time-spanning tension. Writers David Goyer and Geoff Johns, with artist Leonard Kirk and inker Keith Champagne on interiors, were reliably delivering some of DC's most ambitious team storytelling during this era.
