With Melody and Alexandra stepping in to fill in, the girls piece together clues that suggest Valerie’s exit might be tied to a romantic entanglement at the very club they’re set to perform at, all drawn in the classic style of Dan DeCarlo’s cover and DeCarlo’s interior art.
In "Love & War," Josie and the Pussycats face off against a rival band in a high-stakes musical duel, but their journey is derailed when their van crashes en route. With their instruments stolen by a mysterious stranger, the band must find a way to regroup and fight back—before their showdown turns into a total meltdown.
In "To Grandmother's House," Valerie’s sudden departure before a big gig sparks suspicion among Josie, Melody, and Alexandra, who are baffled by her excuse of visiting a sick grandmother. When the band discovers the club they’re playing at is run by a man who once had a crush on Valerie, they start piecing together a far more dramatic (and far more ridiculous) story than anyone expected.
When Alex fires Alan M. as the Pussycats' roadie in a jealous huff over Josie’s admiration, he quickly learns the true weight of the band’s gear—literally. Forced to carry everything himself, he discovers just how much strength it takes to keep up with the Pussycats’ whirlwind tour.
In "Maxim Mix-Up," Melody finds herself caught in a comedic espionage mishap when a bumbling spy mistakes her for a high-level agent and slips a hidden disk—inside a teddy bear—into her hands. With peace declared and his mission over, the spy must now figure out how to pivot his career, leaving Melody to wonder what to do with the suspicious plush prize.
