The cover by Bill Sienkiewicz says everything you need to know about DC's grittiest Western: Jonah Hex fills the frame, twin revolvers leveled straight at the reader, his scarred face set with cold, unwavering resolve beneath a battered hat. Sienkiewicz's painterly, loosely rendered linework gives the image a raw, almost documentary intensity that perfectly suits the "I Walk Alone" story within, brought to life by writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti with art from Val Semeiks. If you want your 2007 comics with a little trail dust and a lot of menace, this one delivers.
