Iron Man #12

Part three of four in the "Heroes Reunited" crossover, this 1997 Marvel issue puts Iron Man front and center in a collision of heavy hitters — the armored Avenger grapples with a green, purple-clad figure while the Hulk looms large on the right, fists ready and unmistakably furious. Terry Shoemaker's cover pencils pack the composition with kinetic energy, bodies twisting and crashing across the frame in a way that makes the chaos feel genuinely urgent. With Jeph Loeb scripting and Ed Benes on interior art, "Matters of the Heart" promises plenty of muscle behind its story.
