Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca launched their celebrated run on Tony Stark with this 2008 series opener, and the cover sets a striking tone right away. Iron Man — armor labeled "Mark 01" and glowing with arc-reactor light — surges forward through a swirl of holographic HUD rings, while a menacing mechanical creature bristling with glowing eyes and cables looms in the upper background. Frank G.
