Pontiac, the great Ottawan chief, rises from warrior to leader as he navigates the shifting powers of the frontier—first serving the French, then facing the harsh reality of British rule when game grows scarce and supplies dwindle. When broken promises of French support kindle his resolve, Pontiac rallies his people and launches a bold campaign against Fort Detroit, only to discover that treachery and overwhelming British reinforcements threaten to crush his carefully laid plans. This is the story of a master tactician fighting for his people's survival and freedom on the frontier.
