Hearing the woman he saw at Xavier's death is at the Cotton Club, Zane receives tips from Carl to help pass for white so he can get inside. Unfortunately, the woman assumes Zane is trying to blackmail him and an altercation breaks out. Running from the club, Zane is attacked from behind and wakes up inside a crowded theater, tied in his seat.
