Impulse #87
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeChaos is the order of the day in Impulse #87 (2002), and the cover by Carlo Barberi and Wayne Faucher sells that premise with gleeful energy. Three mock-tabloid panels announce "Weather Goes Berserk!," "Cars Fly!," and "Dogs Talk!" while Impulse himself sprints across the foreground in his red costume, a beach ball tumbling at his feet, looking exasperated as a fellow speedster and a dark-haired young hero race alongside him — with Impulse's own speech bubble delivering the resigned punchline: "I get blamed for everything!" It's a wonderfully playful setup for part two of "Crisis on Impulse's Earth," promising the kind of lighthearted, all-out mayhem that made this series such a fun corner of the DC universe in 2002.
